With 20 years in publishing as Art Director on some of the most prestigious trade magazine brands (including Drapers and Screen International), Alan has a wealth of experience in all aspects of editorial, marketing and advertising design and the print production process. Alongside a breadth of knowledge in designing for business, his specialities include creative concepts, artwork and illustrations and directing photoshoots. Outside the studio, Alan is an experienced armchair sports fan, a harsh (but fair) pub quizmaster, and an enthusiastic, if erratic, cook.

Having previously worked at Emap and the Yorkshire Post, Michael has gained 19 years' experience in the publishing industry as an accomplished Art Director. Michael has worked on many projects including complete magazine redesigns, directories, marketing campaigns and event launches and his specialities are typography, creative concepts and corporate identity. Away from forty6, Michael is a committed Fantasy Football manager, obsessive sports fan and would-be chef. He claims that one day he might enter Masterchef but don't hold your breath!
